Welcome to St. Patrick Parish and thank you for checking out our web site. St. Patrick services all of metro Detroit beginning in the Midtown area. We are located directly behind the MAX, on Parsons, at Woodward. As long time participants in the life of the center city we have a newfound relationship, rooted in our shared baptism, with the members of St. Thomas a Becket parish in Canton. Rounding out our complex network of relationships is our seven-year-old clustering partnership with St. Aloysius parish on Washington Blvd., a little further downtown.
Served by the Franciscan Friars of St. John the Baptist Province, our church community is “an amazing mosaic” of people who draw their strength from celebrating the Eucharist every Sunday (usually) at 9:30 a.m. Our faith community is committed to reaching out to people who have physical, emotional and spiritual needs.
The natural consequence of our faithful worship of God is the desire to celebrate our shared experience of God’s love. Seasonal events such as our neighborhood Halloween Party, our Spring Festival, the annual celebration of the Feast of St. Patrick (Parade Day) and other events engage the entire community, drawing people from the city and suburbs alike.
We celebrate the Eucharist at our day chapel on the first floor of the St. Patrick Senior Center on Tuesday and Thursday at 11:00 a.m. The Sacrament of Reconciliation is available by appointment by calling the parish number or at communal celebrations that are announced at various times throughout the year (next one is March 14). Anointing of the Sick is celebrated quarterly, during the Sunday Eucharist, and by request when need arises. On the first Sunday of each month, after Mass, teams are available to pray with anyone who asks.
Join us for any and all events that are part of the fabric of our faith life here at St. Patrick. Introduce yourself to me when you see me. Let me know how I can be of service to you in your own personal journey with Jesus. You can be sure I will invite you to join us in our mission of Gospel Love.

Our Vision Statement
St. Patrick Catholic Church is an amazing mosaic, a diverse community of persons who transcend the boundaries of age, of life style, of ethnicity and culture, of race, of economics, of city and suburbs, whose very life is a celebration of the values of the Kingdom of God.
As leaders in the struggle for justice, we feel called to reach out to people in their physical, emotional, and spiritual need and to affirm each person's worth and to foster his or her independence.
Worshiping in the Cass Corridor, we derive our strength to live this Gospel from a personal involvement in a familial celebration of the Eucharist.
