SAINT PATRICK CATHOLIC CHURCH

Our Cluster

In July, 2005, St. Patrick Parish formally entered into a clustered community with St. Aloysius Parish, located on Washington Boulevard in downtown Detroit and St. Dominic Parish, located at the intersection of West Warren and Trumbull near Wayne State University.  The goal of this clustering structure is to respect and maintain the unique identity of each parish and enable each parish to sustain and further develop a vibrant and proactive spiritual and community service life. Good and effective stewardship of resources is achieved by coordination of ministerial activities and the sharing of staff, program expenses and capital resources.

Now, parishioners, staff and supporters of St. Aloysius, St. Patrick and St. Dominic are fully-engaged in the process of expanding the ministries and building the resources necessary to fulfill their respective mission statements…dedicated to fulfilling the spiritual and temporal needs of the people they serve. Collaboration in Worship, Christian Service, Education and Fellowship initiative have allowed each to accomplish much more than would otherwise be possible, while preserving their respective characters and traditions.

In January, 2008, Fr. Tod Laverty, OFM became the pastor.  St. Patrick's in now engaged in a process of refounding itself to strengthen the mission of the Church in the Midtown area and to reach out to the neighborhood to invite others to join us in living the Gospel and celebrating God's love.  Come join us when you can and share in the sense of fulfillment we experience in being witnesses to Jesus Christ.
